JG Training Academy is built on a team of experienced coaches and dedicated staff who are committed to helping baseball and softball athletes across Southwest Virginia, East Tennessee, and Northwest Georgia reach their highest potential. Through elite training, expert guidance, and a culture rooted in hard work and passion for the game, we support growth both on and off the field. Led by founder Jackson Greer, who rose from early setbacks at ETSU to competing in the College World Series with the University of Tennessee, our team is driven to develop confident, skilled athletes ready to achieve extraordinary results.

Meet Jackson Greer

Jackson Greer founded JG Training Academy in 2022 to ignite passion, instill discipline, and build confident athletes prepared to compete at the highest levels of the game.

Jackson’s journey is defined by resilience and work ethic. Unranked out of high school and holding just one Division I offer, he was never the most naturally gifted player on the field, but he was always willing to outwork everyone else. His college career began at East Tennessee State University, where he hit .125 as a freshman and faced real uncertainty about his future in baseball. Instead of backing away, Jackson committed to the process of daily improvement and long-term development.

That commitment paid off. He developed into a 1st Team All-SoCon catcher, earned placement on the Buster Posey Award watch list recognizing the nation’s top catchers, and competed as a Cape Cod League All-Star. He later transferred to the University of Tennessee, achieving a lifelong goal by playing for his hometown team and competing in the 2021 College World Series.

Today, Jackson brings that same standard of excellence to every athlete at JG Training Academy. His mission is to make the development process clearer and more efficient for players and families by teaching proven fundamentals, disciplined habits, and the mindset required to advance in the game. Whether an athlete’s goal is to compete at the next level or pursue a future in professional baseball, Jackson understands the expectations, the workload, and the commitment required, and he is dedicated to helping athletes reach their highest potential.
